What to include in your CV

A professional profile, also known as a personal or competency profile, is a key aspect of your application. This is a short paragraph below your basic contact information. It gives the employer an initial insight into who you are.
You should adapt each profile to the specific position you are applying for. It should highlight your key skills that qualify you for the job.
In the professional summary, raise the following issues:
1. Who are you?
2. What can you offer the company?
3. What are your career goals?
The summary itself should not be longer than a few sentences.

3. Experience

Present your experience in reverse chronological order, starting from your last job. It is most important for a potential employer.
Present each item as follows:
● Job title.
● Employer.
● Employment period.
● A short sentence summarizing the position.
Then present the key responsibilities, acquired skills and most important achievements in a bulleted list. It is best if you can support each professional success with figures, e.g. increasing sales in your department by 20% per year.

5. Additional sections (key skills, languages, interests, etc.).

Additional sections, although they are less important, can also work in your favor:
● Charitable activities – if you have participated in this type of activity, you can gain a lot in the eyes of the recruiter.
● Interests – write about such interests that are related to the desired position. If your job concerns, for example, internet marketing, write that you have run a blog.
● Foreign languages – the recruiter can test the knowledge of the languages you have included in your CV. If you had German in high school, but you hardly remember any of it, it is better to skip it.

Additional tips and tricks.

● The length of the CV should be 1-2 A4 pages.
● The recommended format is PDF.
● Avoid fonts like Comic Sans – regular size 10 Arial will do.
